The journey that I began when I started this site has taken me into an arena that I never imagined was actually possible; writing a novel and getting my poetry out into the world. I have won two blog awards, entered and won my first writing contest. For a girl who subtitled her first handwritten poetry collection – Written by the Girl Who Cannot Spell, to grow into a women who is not only actively writing, but loving it, this has been a dream come true.
I really have to thank my dear friend, Ed, for suggesting that I undertake this adventure. It has been a wonderful experience talking about writing and bouncing ideas off one another. Words can’t describe how happy I am that we have each others back. Not only has it brought me closer to him, but has helped me reconnect with one of my first real friends.
Sabrina, I can’t tell you how much your friendship means to me. The fact that we are still friends after eek more than twenty years is so wonderful. You are even more beautiful today than when I met you all those years ago. I love that you follow this site and comment; I smile every time I see your posts.
Thank you to Stew for reading and helping me proof stuff before it goes on-line. Thank you also for helping translate Booger’s tale into a real short story. I also owe you for helping me get my new computer so I won’t go through laptop withdraw on breaks.
Momma, I know, you read these posts even through the whole blog world is a mystery to you; thank you. A lot of daughters say that their mother is their best friend, but I know mine is. You also love me enough to let me fall on my face, dust myself off and find my own solutions.
To all the wonderful folks who follow this site, thank you for reading, commenting and pressing that little like button. I didn’t honestly think that in the first four months of this site there would be over fifty people subscribed to it and so many folks following me on Twitter. Please let me know what you would like to see more of in the coming year, I am going to do my best to fulfill any and all requests.
Now, it is time to get back to work and create something extra special for all of you in the coming year.
